Trimming Christmas Tree

Posted by The Creekridge Clan | | Posted On Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 5:18 PM

It was a day later than we planned and with a new tree, but Sunday night we finally got the Christmas tree put up and decorated. Here are some pictures:

Here are Caroline and Connor sitting in front of the tree.

It only took 4 tries to get a picture with the both of them looking at us.

Connor had the brilliant idea to bust out the Santa hat. The following pictures would not have happened without him.

Thanks Cman!

Caroline took her turn with the Santa hat and decided to throw in a little leg crossing flair.

Here is mommy, Caroline, and Connor.

Finally, mommy decided to take a turn behind the camera and got this shot of daddy and Connor having a good time.

Halloween 2009

This is Friday morning as Connor is getting ready to go to school dressed up as a policeman.

It has been a year, but he finally got to wear this costume for Halloween...and not throw up in it.

Connor walking in the "parade" in the gym at school with the rest of the kids.

Had he seen mommy, I bet his demeanor would have been a lot happier.

Connor posing outside of Uncle Jason's house with his pumpkin and matching Star Wars blaster.

This was the last time we saw him in his helmet.

From left to right:
A helmet-less Connor as a Clone Trooper
Jordan dressed as Pitt from Kid Icarus
Next-door-neighbor Goirsha as a witch
Jenna as a vampire
Caroline was standing next to mommy and daddy as all of the kids dressed up scared her a little bit

Speaking of our little princess

Here she is walking next to mommy.

Caroline LOVED looking at everyone's pumpkins

Apparently the better the pumpkin carving and decorating, the more likely she was to grace that house with her presence and then to beg for food.

Speaking of pumpkins, here is one we thought was pretty cool with the scary matchstick teeth.

Here is Connor petting a boa constrictor at one of the houses along the way.

Once she got the hang of things, Caroline had a really good time.

You can tell this because I didn't have to sneak up on her to get a picture of her smiling.

She also thoroughly enjoyed walking around with a piece of candy in each hand...I guess she didn't fully trust mommy whenever she was taking care of her pumpkin and loot.

Connor and Jenna are always leading the pack, so we took the opportunity waiting for the rest of the trick-or-treaters to get a picture of them in front of a particularly scary house.

Here is Caroline enjoying her first ever sucker that she got from walking around looking pretty.

A clone trooper decided to stop by and scare all of us while we were working on our pumpkins.

Little did he know that while he did grab his helmet on the way out the door...he forgot to change out of his pajamas.

Connor and Caroline in their stroller at Magic Kingdom.

This thing was awesome and well worth the rental price and physical strain it put on daddy lugging it into the car, onto the tram, and into the hotel room.

Please note that of the 6 pictures I took of her in about 10 seconds...this was the only one where she was looking even remotely in my direction.

Here is mommy's floating head in front of the castle. I was so busy begging her to smile that I got distracted and cut 97% of her body out of the shot.

A lone shot of the castle as we walked past it.

Daddy, Connor, and a stranger enjoying the end of Splash Mountain.

In the interest of full disclosure, Daddy's shirt was not completely soaked just because of the ride.

Connor and Daddy coming around a bend on Big Thunder Mountain.

Please squint and notice that Connor has his hands up.

He kept them up the entire ride which brought a very real and very big tear to daddy's eye when the ride was over.

Here is little Caroline on the balcony of the hotel before her 6 hour stint at the emergency room.

Using her push pop as a pointer, Caroline is drawing the viewer's attention to a stack of fake cannon balls that are piled up next to a bronze 16-pound cannon that was made in Seville, Spain in 1743.

Connor spotted this cannon from the parking lot and decided then and there that this was the most powerful weapon in the fort's arsenal.

He was not disappointed when he saw how big it was and was informed from daddy that it could hit our hotel over 3 miles away back when it was operational.

Sighting down the barrel of Connor's favorite.

We were waiting for the train to take us back to the fort and Mommy and Caroline.

The history was neat for daddy, the seat and cool breeze was nice for Connor.

Good Morning!

This is what was coming through our curtains this morning.

Not a bad way of waking up.

The kids are in good spirits and ready to have some fun.

The plans are to visit the fort and downtown this morning and spend the rest of the day at the beach and pool.

Arrival

We pulled in front of the hotel around 2:30 PM.

This is the view of Connor and Caroline's first peek at the ocean from our balcony.

So far it has been over 90 degrees and rained.

Typical Florida weather.

3rd to Last Soccer Game

Posted by The Creekridge Clan | | Posted On Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 5:40 PM

Monday found us out on the soccer field again for another game.

It was a cold and windy night. Good thing Caroline had a hood and loves to run around in the wind.

I almost had to put the camera away because he kept looking at me instead of watching the ball.

Good thing I didn't otherwise we wouldn't have this picture.

Check out Connor splitting two defensive players.

I can only hope that the look on the coach for the other team's face is that of worry because of Connor's amazing soccer skills since he scored 4 goals that night.

Last, but never least here is a picture of Caroline sitting on the ground as the game comes to a close.

School and Soccer Pictures

First off we have a picture of Connor after school showing off his Green Apple.

The teachers at his school hand this out when they "catch" kids doing something above and beyond the call of duty.

Today all of the kids in Connor's center left him before the clean up was done. He stayed and kept working. When the kids came back by apparently he got them all to help him finish up.

We are very proud of him.

Here is Caroline finishing up her dinner before the soccer game tonight.

This is Connor right after the ball went in on one of his goals.

Stay tuned for a video clip of some of his highlights.

2nd Soccer Game of Fall Season

Here is Connor breaking away from the pack on his way to scoring his first of 2 goals tonight.

I don't know what he was doing right before I took this picture, but from that mischievous smile on his face I am pretty sure it was no good.

Another quick halftime shot of little Caroline.

The last shot of the night is Connor's (in the front) last goal.

We are really proud of how hard he is playing this year.
